25 years ago this September 6th, PBS (the public broadcasting service), which has had programming for children since its National Educational Television (NET) days, launched a 24-hour channel just for them known as PBS KIDS (this iteration would last until 2005, though the idea of a 24-hour channel would come back in 2017), and the rest is history. 25 years later, here's a picture of Dash and Dot (the green brother and sister who serve as PBS KIDS' mascots) and some characters you may know celebrating this big milestone (it was a no-brainer to include Ord, since Dragon Tales premiered the same day).
