For Whom the Bell Tolls

This story took place about a month ago.

Like some of his friends, Easton enjoys children's television, but unlike them, I guess you can say he's addicted to it. He has an iPhone where he likes to go on websites relating to his favorite shows and more, but keeps hearing people saying they dislike a show or that another show is better on ArtWorld (a fanart website popular with the Hills of Sprout residents) and occasionally Sprout Social, corporate decisions (in the Sprout world, shows were never removed from streaming except Fairly Odder), like removing or shutting down a network, and lawsuits and complaints claiming Preschool Play, a show he watched when he was in, well, preschool is impacting children negatively instead of positively (which is why Curtis and his high schoolmates had that Squishy Bashing event from 20 years ago in the first place - they thought he wasn't as good as Preschool Play despite studies saying he did things right and was far better for kids - it even had a three-round wrestling match between Squishy and Muffin the Monkey, with the latter winning every time). Easton grew an obsession with Preschool Play recently, and when he read these studies, he went to Sprout Social and started ranting on his account and started to cry and even throw a screaming fit in real life. About a week later, he didn't read them, but the studies were in his mind again, and he cried every time he thought about them and even started screaming again to the point where he would keep hitting his head and biting his tiny arms. Once the screaming stopped, he found he lost his voice, so his mom took him to the doctor, where it was said he had laryngitis and had to stay in bed for several days and rest while waiting to get his voice back.

Now, if there's anyone the resident female trio, the Freedom Crusaders (Patty, Banjo, and Noodle), help the most, it's Easton, Pat's best friend, and they were waiting for him to come over to their clubhouse for a playdate, but his mom called them on Patty's cell phone and told them about her son's laryngitis, and that he was watching videos on the TV in his bedroom (aside from the usual, classic Disney shorts, which are on 24/7), listening to relaxing music, and drinking water and orange juice and eating Drumline chocolate ice cream cones with nuts. When they got on the Noodle and Doodle Bus and Noodle told Sean about Easton, he decided to whip up a hot chicken noodle soup with crackers for dipping, which was put on a tray with more orange juice and delivered to Easton's home.

Easton's feeling much better now, and is trying to think happy things while remembering the shows he enjoys are good and special.
