This story took place 11 years ago. Nina heard on a network's website that they would stop airing one of their shows, The Super Squad, that night. This devastated Star to the point where he wouldn't want to watch anything else, calling them "regular" shows, without realizing that was the name of an actual show on Cartoon Network. When he watched a news show that replaced The Super Squad the following night, they talked about a petition, when lightning struck. Star decided to start a petition on paper to convince the network to bring The Super Squad back, having a stand where he had Sproutlets and their grown-up Sprouts sign it, had Dennisha, Tim, Kaitlin, and Carly sign it in the Sunshine Barn, and Chica, Mr. and Mrs. C, and Kelly sign it in the Costume Coop, where Chica chocolate-painted with her signature (everyone signing had to fingerpaint alongside writing their name). When Star decided he had enough signatures, he was ready to mail it. A few days later, he got a letter from the network inviting him to their headquarters, where they were operated and their shows were made, the next day, where he and Nina were given a tour by a producer of The Super Squad and their other programs, who showed them the rooms where the show was made and handed Star some merchandise. When Star realized he was only invited to the building so that he could be told The Super Squad was still cancelled, he stormed off crying, leading Nina and the producer to start a search for him, when he found a dressing room door reading "The Super Squad," he decided to go in it but couldn't find the show's main characters - Mendy Mouse, Travis the Tortoise, and Buffy the Buzzard, when he saw three young girls walking into the room, telling them that the show was cancelled not only due to high production costs, but they wanted change. Suddenly, Nina and the producer caught him, knowing he was in the dressing room just because it read "Super Squad," and the three girls said goodbye to him in their Mendy, Travis, and Buffy voices and even sang one of the show's songs sung in every episode and including his name - he knew that they were the voices of the pet superheroes all along! The following week, Nina told Star he had a surprise for him on the TV, which she turned on, and it was a real surprise - The Super Squad was back on air! His petition worked! The show would get a quasi-reboot 10 years later, called "Super Squad in the City," but that's a story for another day.
Based on the Arthur episode "The Last of Mary Moo Cow," which I also did a Sunny Virals based on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw1hlPiYCVc, while Star calling shows other than Super Squad "regular shows" is inspired by when I was an Arthur fan (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oogS1ugph44) and called all other shows "regular shows," too, and, just like D.W. in the episode, I started petitions to bring back or save some of my favorite kids' shows, both online and on paper.
