Until a year ago today, I did Sprout scenes and original art in my own style, inspired by Mozart88889 (Gabe Cowan), who did the same with Baby Einstein but in the style of the BE company's resident artist, Nadeem Zaidi, so as time went by, I thought to myself, "Why not do Sprout art in the artstyle that was seen on SproutOnline.com?" (which I found out months later was done by Shelly Martin (https://www.sparkysdoodle.com) while Chica and her family were done by Chuck Dillon), and so, after doing the Sprout characters in Baby Einstein style (I might redo the people, though), I Martin-ized a scene (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6Nr0nw) of Liz and Chica with a newly-hatched baby duckling which I saw (screenshot only) on a Wayback Machine archive on the website Playrific, and the rest is history, and as time went by, I improved my art, started using better puppets, especially after I got a copy of Sprout Memory Match from Greece for Valentine's Day this year. Sure, I may have been made fun of several times, like when I made myself in Sprout style when I got started and someone said it looked like Angela Anaconda, or when I Martin-ized Good Night Show wallpaper and someone commented "Ew," or on r/terriblemaps, where someone called my Martin-style drawings of non-Sprout characters terrible, which can explain why I logged out of and blocked Reddit for good, but that hasn't stopped me. To celebrate 1 year of Sprout digital art, here are our friends from the hills bowing their heads, like Possessed Noodle (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xD86rY), inspired by a scene in Baby Van Gogh, specifically in the credits set to 1812 Overture by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky when the puppets bow their heads (minus Vincent Van Goat, for some reason). I hope you enjoy it, and here's to another year of art!
