And Baby Makes Four

This story took place a week after Big News for Easton (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/AZBl0o) and Big Brother Easton (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Bk0wb6).

It had been a week since Easton's baby brother, Tink was born, and Patty was chatting about it in the gazebo with Star and Nicholas.

PATTY: Guys, guys, guys, guess what? Easton's got a new baby brother, his name's Tink and he's so adorable!
STAR: Aww, that's so cute.
NICHOLAS: Yeah, I love babies.
PATTY: Ooh, and, here he comes, now!

Easton came by, and, judging from his eyes, it looked like he was sleepy.

PATTY: Easton, what happened to you?
EASTON: I'm so tired, I'm so tense, I'm an absolute wreck!
NICHOLAS: An absolute wreck?
STAR: What does that mean?
EASTON: You see, ever since Tink got home from the hospital, my parents have been spending more time with him than me.

Easton recalled asking his mom to choose a video for him, but she was too busy playing peekaboo with the new baby to notice, asking his dad to play with him, but he was too busy reading a story with Tink, and his parents rocking Tink at the beach while he played in the water, telling him that he'd swim with his brother as he matured, and even his routines with his parents have changed - his dad gave him his bath instead of his mom, who had to give Tink a bath in the kitchen sink, and his mom read him a bedtime story instead of his dad, who had to rock Tink, who was crying.

When Easton's parents came by with Tink, he tried to count the members of his family to make sure the amount was still 3, but, instead, it was 4, now that the new baby was here.

EASTON: Uhh, dad, mind if I have a talk with you?
DEAN: Sure! Tell ya what, how about we do it at the end of the dock?
EASTON: Okay.

When Easton and his dad reached the dock, they started talking about Easton's problem.

EASTON: You see, ever since Tink was born a week ago, you and mom have been spending more and more time with him and less and less time with me, it's as if ... *eyes start to water* you've run out of love for me. *sniffs twice and cries a bit*
DEAN: Aww, Easton, that's not true, your mom and I love you just as much as we love Tink,
EASTON: Really?
DEAN: Yeah, just like how all parents love all their kids equally. We'll never not love you. And, I promise, we have as much time for you as we have time for Tink.
EASTON: That's great! I'm glad you still love me!
DEAN: Aww, anytime!

When Easton got home later that day, he took his drawing and altered it a bit to include a very special someone, then he rushed downstairs to show his mom.

EASTON: Hey, mom, remember that drawing I did of you and me and dad?
BRITTA: Yeah?
EASTON: Well, I draw a certain somebody and put him in there. Can you guess who it is?
BRITTA: Is it Tink?

Easton got the picture out from behind his back and revealed it.

EASTON: It IS Tink!
BRITTA: Look, Tink, big brother drew you! It's you! You see that?
TINK: Ah-dah!
EASTON: "Ah-dah?" What does that mean?
BRITTA: Oh, it's a long story.

Easton loves his baby brother, knowing he's just as important and loved as him.
