29 Years of Finding Clues

29 years ago today, Nickelodeon premiered a brand new children's television show on the Nick Jr. block, featuring an unusual-colored dog who would smack her pawprint on three things for her owner to draw in his notebook and figure out how they go together. The television show was named, Blue's Clues. It played a big part of the children's television world by being the first interactive show for preschoolers - meaning the characters would welcome the viewer, ask them questions, encourage them to join in with songs and games, and there would be a common goodbye song to end the episode - even though Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which Blue's Clues was inspired by, originally had the welcome and goodbye parts. Dora the Explorer and its spin-offs and reboot, Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and its reboot, Super WHY! My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Team Umizoomi, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Wallykazaam, and Blaze and the Monster Machines - heck, even some segments on the immortal Sesame Street - would be the shows to follow the Fake Interactivity formula, and a reboot of Blue's Clues, entitled, Blue's Clues & You!, premiered on November 11th, 2019 and would have five seasons, running until 2024.
