This story took place last year.
Curtis had taken Otis to the kids' club at the civics center, where they happened upon Easton and Tracey, the latter of whom was watching over the littlest ones. There were five more kids there, including Stella, and, when they got together, I guess you could say they were kinda chaotic, though, they were only quiet when coloring pictures, which had characters from the likes of Wallace the Peeh and Pokeghost. When a teenage girl who was volunteering for the day tried playing a counting game with paper cookies, Otis and Easton joined in, but, as it turns out, one girl kept pretending to eat the cookies, like she was eating like a dog with no hands, and, when Stella got too close to the teenager, the latter slapped the former on the face, causing her to cry and for Tracey to call her mom to pick her up and bring her home so she could heal. All of this frightened Otis, who ran over to the nearby chair with blue cushions to hide and calm down. Another caretaker there asked Otis if he wanted noise-cancelling headphones, he agreed, and so, she gave him some. Curtis remembered he brought an Indy book with him, asked him if he wanted to take it out, he also agreed and started to read it. The book is called, "Indy's Pirate Adventure," and, it's based on the episode called, "Pirate Adventure." In it, Agent Asteroid tells Indy, Wco, and their alien and martian playmates that she saw pirates taking things away from people at a boardwalk on the planet Earth, so they board a pirate ship to find an island to confront the scallywags, whilst overcoming obstacles along the way with the reader's help. Easton happened upon Otis reading the book, noting that Indy was one of the first shows he ever watched, and so the two read the book together as well as another Indy book. They also saw Oh! Yappa Yappa! playing on the TV, both of them loved that show, so, they watched it together, and Otis was so happy that it was on he started jumping up and down and flapping his arms. Easton told him that he was stimming, which he sometimes does since he has autism, and Tracey theorized that, since he likes kindergarten programs and often stims, Otis may have autism, too. Easton realized his friend had autism, and after kissing him on the cheek, ran off to tell the other kids.
Otis has autism now, just like Easton, and he may be different from other kids, but is pretty much the same and still very special and unique.
