This story took place about 13 years ago.
Star, despite being a boy (though, not a human one, obviously) was a huge fan of the Disney Princesses at the time, and one day, after Nina picked him up after a playdate with Chica at the Sunshine Barn, he kept asking her "Where do we go next?" (since he watched a lot of Dora the Explorer, where Boots said that in most episodes, it was common for him to do so at the time, one time, she told him "Ricky's house, dentist, home" (after a playdate at Ricky's)) and Nina told him "Disney Princess Live!." Star kept asking her to see the Princesses, and one time, she told him "the princesses are coming to Pennsylvania" (where Nina, Star, and their friends live), and upon hearing her say they were going to see them, he was thrilled! The show was hosted by Belle and also featured Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Ariel as they would prepare for a big tea party while singing, dancing, and encouraging viewer participation.
After an hourlong drive to the city of Baltimore in the neighboring state of Maryland (this was a day trip), they arrived at a theater where the show was being held. Star got some princess plushies and he and Nina then took their seats in the auditorium. The show hadn't started yet, so Star kept asking where his animated movie heroines were.
STAR: Nina, where are the princesses? Cinderella, Ariel?
NINA: Shh, the show's about to start!
Surely enough, the lights dimmed and an announcer said "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Disney Princess Tea Party Tour!" After the titular song from Beauty and the Beast played, Belle came out and told the audience how happy she was they were here, leading to "So Very Glad You're Here" (from the Tea Party CD).
After a few songs and storytelling in Act One, there was an intermission, so Star used this time to use the men's bathroom in the lobby while Nina waited. After he got out, this is what he had to say:
STAR: Too bad the show's almost over.
NINA: I know, but now, you can say you've been in the same room as the real princesses from the movies!
Upon hearing this, Star smiled.
STAR: Yeah, I guess so!
From then on, the Princess live show was pretty similar to My Little Pony Live: The World's Biggest Tea Party, which Bean (Alfalfa's mom), a pegasister, had told Star about since she owns it on DVD and she and Alfalfa watched it together, so she let Nina and Star borrow it and the latter absolutely loved it and couldn't believe how similar it was. The princesses sang songs from their movies, CDs, and direct-to-video releases, the penultimate of which was "Where Dreams Begin," a song Star recognized from a tea party-themed sing-along video he watched once, and he was even bopping his head and tapping his arms and legs as it was sung. (🎵 Just put your hand in mine, and then we'll go where dreams begin, I'll teach you how to fly, And then we'll go where dreams begin 🎶)
The princesses closed with "If You Can Dream" (from their Ultimate Song Collection CD) and waved a royal goodbye to the audience and curtsied before the curtains closed. What a fabulous show this had been! As Nina and Star got into the car to go back home, they started discussing the show.
NINA: Did you enjoy it?
STAR: Yeah, and maybe someday, we can go again! (singing) Just put your hand in mine, and then we'll go where dreams begin
NINA: Maybe someday. I know I enjoyed it, too.
And the duo couldn't stop talking about what a great experience they had until Star fell asleep.
