Patty's Crossword

This story took place about 26 years ago, when Patty was 4 going on 5 and her older sister, Peggy, was 9. Sharon was taking Patty out china shopping, when the latter heard a teenager saying a particularly bad word in front of his mom, and when they were walking out of the store, she imagined saying it to her mom, causing her to gasp and drop the glass, which broke. When she got home, she began to have even more fantasies about bad things that would happen if she said it, like all the glass in the neighborhood breaking, with Blue from Blue's Clues jumping over the moon and cracking open an egg with a spoon, after she said it at the dinner table in front of Sharon and Peggy and her saying it in front of her preschool teacher and class while singing "If You're Happy and You Know It," and said teacher becoming a zombie granting Patty her every wish, such as an orange juice box and a TV to play a Blue's Clues tape. Later that afternoon, Peggy laughed at Patty for having a light-up, shape-themed baby toy the latter had ever since she was a few months old and caused it to break so it wouldn't light up and make noise anymore. This made Patty so angry she swore and said the bad word in front of her. When Sharon came into the room, the two girls asked her how in the [bad word] she was. When Sharon asked them where they heard that word, Patty told her that she heard it from the teen at the china shop, and she said it to Peggy because she was being naughty, so Peggy was sent to her room, with Sharon telling her to either be nice to Patty or there would be no TV for a week. After a while, Peggy thought she and Patty should apologize to one another, and so they did, though Peggy broke her promise and is still mean to not only Patty, but others, most of the time, though is a softie at heart.

This story is based on the Arthur episode "Bleep," the Caillou episode "Caillou's Crossword," and the Baby Looney Tunes episode "Who Said That?." Side note: I WAS going to have Kari fill the Mary Moo Cow role in Patty's fantasies, but replaced her with Blue at the last minute.
