Private Premiere Party

This story took place 5 months ago.

Four years after its initial announcement, the premiere date for the Taroobaloo reboot (mentioned in my previous story, "The Best Christmas Present Ever" (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/5W54bJ)), called Taroobaloo+ (or Taroobaloo 2.0., if you want to call it by its working title), was growing closer and closer, with all the trailers pouring out. Stan and Jack were returning, and a new meerkat to play Taroo since the original one passed away a decade ago, and they were back to teach a new generation of children about animals, their homes, and how they live and are nurtured, with almost everything from the original show staying the same, albeit with a modern touch, hence the plus sign in the new show's title.

Patty grew up watching the original Taroobaloo, which premiered when she was nine months old (similar to how Kari and Friends premiered when Banjo was five months old), had it on VHS and learned all kinds of animal facts and new species from Stan, Jack, and of course the beloved meerkat, just like everyone else who watched it, and told Sharon that she was going to record Taroobaloo+ the moment it premiered. She said she heard it would come on at 10:00 in the morning. Before Patty knew it, the big day finally arrived, so while Sharon was at work and her grouchy big sister Peggy was in her room minding her own business, she turned on the TV to the correct network at 7:00, with the same trailer for Taroo+, which she saw on Sprout Social (a local website the residents of the hills use) last month and as an ad on YouTube the other day, appearing during commercial breaks (plus a different variant of it twice), and after a few hours and before the big moment, a remix of the ending song, which would be returning for the reboot, played following the trailer and a next bumper, and after an interstitial song, a few commercials, and a special countdown bumper, it was time, so Patty got out her iPhone with a Yo Awesome Awesome! case and recorded the full episode from beginning to end, sandwiched with the (partial) countdown and the (also partial) next bumper for the following show.

After the big show, Patty took to Sprout Social and told her friends what she thought about the episode and overall show, ending by saying it was just the same as how she remembered (helps that most of the original cast and crew (besides Stan and Jack, of course) returned for this new incarnation). Afterwards, she took to YouTube and saw that the network posted the full episode onto their channel, all whilst remembering that the next episode would premiere tomorrow and that all 10 episodes of the reboot would be on streaming. Sharon applauded her for her review, while Peggy, of course, did not care.

Not counting the group of children who got a special sneak-peek of the show a day prior, Patty was the very first being to watch the Taroobaloo reboot, and that she is proud of. At the end of the day, some reboots may not be the same as originals, but Taroobaloo+ was the same, and fans of the original, like Patty, are eagerly excited and love it just as much.
