Big News for Easton

Easton's parents told him they had to run some errands, so, they dropped him off at his best friend, Patty Pig's house. They watched an episode of Yo Awesome Awesome!, read a Yo Awesome Awesome! book, and during a nap, with them sleeping on opposite ends of the couch, Easton had a Brick the Bricklayer nightmare similar to that one Cute Critters commercial, so Patty soothed him back to sleep by singing a lullaby. When Britta got back, she had some big news for her son.

EASTON: She's like a big sister to me,
PATTY: And YOU'RE like a little brother!
BRITTA: That's what I wanted to tell you. While we were gone, I had a pregnancy test,
EASTON: What's pregnancy?
PATTY: That means a baby's inside his or her mommy's stomach. What that means is your mom's gonna have another baby!
BRITTA: Yeah, and you're going to be a brother ... for real!
EASTON: No way! Get out of town! A new baby?
BRITTA: A new baby!
PATTY: That's great news!
BRITTA: I know, it is! Dad's shopping for things for the baby right now.

When they got home, Easton was sitting on the couch with his parents and curious about the baby's gender.

EASTON: Is the baby going to be a boy or a girl?
DEAN: We don't know until it's born. But if it's a girl, I'd like to name it Adriana or Maddyx. If it's a boy, we'll name it Mikey, Daniel, or Ian.
EASTON: Will you go with any of those names?
BRITTA: We'll see, honey, we'll see.

Easton then got desperate.

EASTON: But what if, after the new baby's born, you'll run out of love for me?
BRITTA: Oh, Easton, that's definitely not true.
DEAN: Yeah, parents love all their children equally, and, that includes us!

Easton then heard kicking coming from inside his mom's stomach.

EASTON: I like to listen to people's heartbeats when I'm having big feelings. I didn't know heartbeats came from your stomach, too!
BRITTA: No, Easton, that's just the baby kicking, it means it's almost ready to come out, and I'm in labor.
DEAN: Which reminds me, we need to go to the hospital as soon as possible! Pack up the things and let's go!
EASTON: Okay.

Dean and Britta went to the hospital to have the baby, but not before dropping Easton off at Patty's again, where they went over the baby's gender and possible names, and Easton expressed his feelings about being a big brother - he was both excited and nervous, just like any new sibling.
