Announcer (speaking): And now it's time for Flashback Songs with Patty, the part of the show where we show a musical number from Patty's past. We go back to 2000, when Patty was six and Peggy was ten, on a very sleepless night.
Patty: Sometimes I have trouble falling asleep, but, it's not so bad
Peggy (speaking): Not again!
Patty: I don't worry, and, I don't weep, in fact, I'm glad
Because I get up off my pillow and I flip on the light
Peggy (speaking): Turn the light back off!
Patty: I get down and get hip in the middle of the night
I stretch, and, I yawn, and, then, I breathe real deep
Peggy (speaking): Patty...
Patty: And dance myself to sleep
Peggy: Ooooh, why me?
Patty: I hoof around my beddy, just a-tappin' my toes,
Before I know what's happened, I'm a-ready to doze,
Peggy (speaking): Oooh...
Patty: Got some partners I can count on called the Boogie Woogie Sheep
Peggy (speaking): What?
Patty: And dance myself to sleep
Peggy (speaking): I don't believe this!
Patty: I gently rock a bye myself across the floor
I turn, and, then, I toss, and, then, I start to snore
My trusty little bugle helps me spread the news
That I'm tappin' to taps and, I'm a-rarin' to snooze
Peggy (speaking): Oh, not the bugle!
Patty, those sheep are tap dancing!
Oooh, why me?
Patty (speaking): Oh, that's nothing, Peg!
Peggy (speaking): Patricia Jane Pig, your sheep!
Patty: Well, I'm getting kinda drowsy so the moment has come
For the sheep to take my sister, who's feeling kinda glum
Gotta shuffle off to dreamland, got a date to keep
We'll dance ourselves to sleep, oh, yeah
We'll dance ourselves to sleep, we're in our jammies
We'll dance ourselves to sleep, and, thank you, lambies
We'll dance ourselves to sleep
Announcer (speaking): This has been Flashback Songs with Patty. Tune in next time to hear Peggy say...
Peggy (offscreen): I STILL can't get any sleep!
