Alfalfa, Bean's daughter and Brussel's granddaughter, is quite a heavy sleeper - in my last piece of artwork, she took an overly long nap that started at daycare and ended when she and her mom entered a restaurant. Apparently she has been diagnosed with Kleine Levin Syndrome (otherwise known as Sleeping Beauty Syndrome), where people, specifically teenagers like her, sleep for months or days. This picture takes place in July, 2008, after March Menu and the premiere of The Sharing Show and during Summer Fun Fridays - she fell asleep for six months and missed Christmas AND her birthday (which is on September 18th).
