Now that you've seen an in-universe TV show I created, Kari & Friends, in a webcomic starring Miles and Banjo AND I told you what a typical episode would be like, here's a little more on the show's host with the most, Kari herself.
Kari Porter was born on July 29, 1972, and has always dreamed of getting a fresh start in life. After going to acting school and getting a degree in early childhood education, her agent, Stewart "Stu" Spamberger, suggested to the local PBS station that they should create not only a show aimed at children unable to afford preschool, but for her, so Kari & Friends premiered on PBS stations nationwide as part of the Kids block on October 20, 1997 (same day Bear in the Big Blue House premiered during Disney Channel's preschool block). Kari is like a female version of Mister Rogers - she speaks slowly and actually teaches kids things, many kids came to see her whenever she appeared live, and thus, many people see her as a childhood icon.
