Turner and Alex just stand feeling frustrated.
TURNER: I can’t believe this, Alex, it’s summertime and it’s still Christmas!
ALEX: I know! It’s been going on for 6 months!
We cut to Miles and Banjo carrying Christmas bags.
MILES: Can't you believe it? It's Christmas ... in the middle of summer!
BANJO: Yeah, there’s still Christmas movies playing on TV, Christmas songs playing on the radio, and everyone still going Christmas shopping!
Enter Star.
STAR: Hi, Miles, hi, Banjo, merry Christmas!
MILES: "Merry Christmas" yourself!
STAR: Still celebrating Christmas?
BANJO: Yeah, but Christmas is supposed to be in winter, and it's summer!
MILES: But I hear that's not the case in Australia.
STAR: Ah, yes, the home of The Wiggles and Bluey. Well, see ya!
MILES and BANJO: Bye, Star!
Meanwhile, Sean and Noodle are still selling Christmas trees.
NOODLE: Don’t forget to get your Christmas trees! They’re half price off
SEAN: Ugh! I can't believe this - we're still selling Christmas trees, but it's summer! Christmas isn't supposed to be in summer!
NOODLE: I know, but you and I have done nothing but sell Christmas trees for 6 whole months!
SEAN: I don’t know if Christmas every day will end sometime soon...
We cut to the Costume Coop with a "Closed" sign on the doorknob (the one with the moon is still on the door window) as Star enters.
STAR: Closed?
We and he see costumes on a table.
STAR: Wow, that’s a lot of costumes Jett and others delivered, but mainly Jett. It looks like Chica, her parents, and Kelly are still not working!
Speaking of Chica, Mrs. C, Mr. C, and Kelly, here they come with a lot of presents.
STAR: Hi guys, merry Christmas!
CHICA: Squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak! ("Merry Christmas" yourself!)
STAR: Chica, why did the Costume Coop close? You have a lot of costumes that were given to you!
KELLY: Well, as you can see, Star, we’re still celebrating Christmas!
CHICA: Squeak, squeak squeak, squeak squeak (Yeah, same old, same old)
MRS. C: We’ve been going Christmas shopping, having pie and pudding for dinner and watching animated specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman for 6 months not working in the shop because it’s Christmas!
MR. C: And the work is really piling up!
STAR: Yeah, because it’s Christmas!
KELLY: Boy, I miss the days before it became Christmas every day - Chica and I used to open the shop and everyone comes in looking for a costume or Jett delivers one and then they leave happy and then we play dress up with Bunji and Stitches because that’s what we like to do. I like to call our customers, I like to play dress up, and I have work to do and all that. I really like working and I need to work!
STAR: But, Kelly, Christmas is fun!
Kelly gets angry and drops the presents from her hands.
KELLY: Star, I’m sick of having fun, and look at all the costumes Jett and big Sprouts gave us! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna open the shop and bring the costumes inside right now. I’m gonna start with cowboys, dancers, and astronauts. Those costumes remind me of some song we sang at the coop all the time!
She grabs the costumes she just mentioned from the table.
MRS. C: Uhh, Kelly, that's a farmer costume.
KELLY: I know that, Madeline*.
STAR: Oh, I didn’t expect Kelly to be so mad.
KELLY: This is a cowboy costume!
The pile that said cowboy costume was on top of falls down to the ground, shocking the 4 - even Star!
CHICA: Squeak, squeak squeak! (Great, just great!)
MRS. C: Now, Cluckums and I need to clean these costumes.
MR. C: This is gonna take a while.
KELLY: Christmas every day has GOT to stop!
STAR: Oh, no! It seems like they’re not happy at all! Not what I thought it would! Maybe Patty would be much happier. I’ll go see!
Star takes leave to go check on Patty at her house.
